C'era una volta: una tavola apparecchiata {Once upon a time: a table laid}

Good morning to all, today I want to tell you a story. The story of a girl that even though eating alone at home loved set the table.

And I speak in the past because we depart from there.

There once was a girl that between work, sports, friends and family never let go sit around a table to eat a piece of pizza, the important thing was that if she was at home everything was put on a white tablecloth.

Then one day, sitting at a bar she meets her prince charming and then set the table was even more beautiful. After years of knowledge the two get married and maiden goes crazy to make the set of linen and lace every night at dinner seemed to be in a restaurant.

Then one day a test communicated to the a young couple who would become three and from there life changes.

Born the eldest you are catapult into a completely unknown reality: eating on the run between feedings, prepare dinner in record time and are mainly discovered placemats!

Until after the first few months, the baby started to sit down with the parents and from there began the disaster aesthetic ... Well yes because if the couple were happy to be a part of having a child with them as they grew up and learned to eat by himself, the other side was the young maiden (now even more so young too) who watched desperate the 'actions of the child.

But the various books of pedagogy and the various methods of education say that experience for the children is normal and right, almost a requirement and then the mother could not help but let it do ... Asking "but when will end all of this?"

Le tende {The Courtains}

Tende Classiche
Veneziane in legno
Tende a rullo
Tende pieghevoli o a pacchetto steccato
Tende a pacchetto
Tende a pannello

My Angela is always a source of inspiration! On a gray day like today for various reasons I was looking for inspiration to the post, and here I get a WhatsApp: "I need advice for curtains"

And here I am to explain the wonderful world of curtains!

So, the premise, the curtains are useful. That is, in addition to its aesthetic side, and privacy curtains are used to shelter the cold and the heat. Yes, because the glass is cooled by the cold and warms up with the sun, and the cold / heat goes into the house. The curtain creates a kind of air chamber which serves to repair a minimum of this outside temperature. It's clear that we have the old carpentry or where there are drafts of air, there is nothing to do, do not ask for miracles, but if the windows are ok, a curtain can make a slight difference.

After that ... What kind of courtain? But the shape of the window, its distance from the ceiling, its disposition in the room are things you have to take into account at the moment to choose them. You know, then you are with the curtain rod that will not let you open the doors ... (I swear I saw it, I swear)

So my selection of curtains is this. Not reveal any secret when I say that the classic does not go with me, so do not expect cloud courtains  because they will never enter at my home, sorry.

{Burgundy so Glam}

For years, we find it in the wardrobe but this year seems to want to impose. This winter will be the year of burgundy.

New? In fact, not too much because this color is nothing more than the old and well-known Bordeaux. Maybe a little 'more brownish shade as compared to Bordeaux but we are always there.

So then the black gives way to autumn this color that most can not. Beautiful, warm, friendly if then mixed with mustard absolutely Glam.

A color that knows how to stand out and do not want to be the master of the scene rather prefer a secondary role certain that the focus will still be on him!

Cremeria Emilia, Parma - Boutique alla Crema {Cremeria Emilia, Parma - Cream Boutique}

Before leaving for my week of relax (if you can call it with baby, dog and husband ...) in Parma, I peeked a little on tripadvisor (motor which I usually do not take into account too much) to see the little places where to eat.

I remain astonished to find in 1st place of 200 restaurants about a sandwich bar ... (But it 's really good sandwich) And among the top 20 an ice cream shop, and here widened my eyes.

Now ice cream and pizza are among my passions and living in Rome ice cream shops is not that there are my a few ... But only 3 are my favorites!

So obviously when I saw in the Cremeria Emilia in Via Farini like the gelateria more good in the world, I will sling instantly ...

Arrived in Parma I realize that the hotel is behind this gelateria ... What a disaster!!

From the outside there seems to be a magnet that attracts your attention, that draws you to enter. Everything is white, but not a cool white but a bleached wood that gives the idea of clean, fresh, good. A large window with a bench to sit on the outside and wood logs inside to enjoy your cone.

The creamery is tiny but a gem, seems to be in a boutique, it is certain that it does not seem to be in Parma but does not seem to be an Italian shop ...

Tastes are strictly contained in cylindrical containers with lid as in years gone by, and you can choose by looking at the illustrations, hand-drawn on squares of wood, various creams up. A variety of tastes not exaggerated (about 20) but all delicious, natural and original even traditional. Excellent puff pastry with homemade pastry or pistachio with true Bronte pistachios.

You can also choose from a hand-rolled cones or cups that are always cones but little  (such as those of the sundae of McDonald's, sorry for the comparison but it was for the idea). There are two taps steel from which come two rivers of chocolate, dark chocolate or gianduja, to put in the bottom of the cone. Each flavor costs 1 € and is composed in a very refined: a taste of one layer and the final taste is made by stretching upward, to hold together the taste is put a round wafer with the logo Emilia.

Beauty is directly proportional to the goodness ... Exquisite!! Finally a product that is not only well packed but also with a good quality!

Scheggia also appreciated even though he does not love ice cream and my husband, attentive to diet, say thanks God for having tasted only on the last evening.

A must try!

Preparazione:

Pumpkins Muffin by Dulce Pecar

Today we host our first Guest! We are just thrilled!

She is Sílvia, from Reus, Spain, residing in Melbourne, Australia, with a passion for baking cupcakes, muffins, cookies and anything than can be possibly baked. All her recipes can be found in her blog "Dulce Pecar" (in Spanish) which will for sure sweeten your life. She has been invited to fill our suitcase of little pieces of heaven and is delighted to share this recipe which is perfect for Halloween. Delicious pumpkin muffins! Trick or treat!!!

Ingredients (for 12 units):

1 Egg
1 cup All-purpose Flour
1/2 cup Brown Sugar
2 tsp Baking Powder
1-1/2 tsp Cinnamon
1/4 tsp Ground Ginger
1/2 tsp Nutmeg
1/2 tsp Salt
60 gr of Butter, cut into pieces
1 cup Pumpkin Puree (to make it you will need a small pumpkin)
1/2 cup Evaporated Milk
1-1/2 tsp Vanilla
1/2 cup Raisins

Preparation:

We will start preparing the pumpkin puree (you can also prepare it the day before and keep it in the fridge): cut the pumpkin into 2 pieces and remove the seeds with a knife. Then cut it into smaller pieces and put it in the oven (preheated to 180 degrees) during 20 minutes. We will know when it is cooked because the pumpkin will get softer and more "orangie". Once it is cooked, clet it cool down and then peel it and mash it with a potato masher or a blender. Keep it aside.

Preheat the oven to 180 degrees and put the baking cups in the muffins tin.

Sift flour, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, and salt. Cut in butter and mix it all together until it is fully incorporated. In a separate bowl, mix the pumpkin puree, evaporated milk, egg, and vanilla. Pour pumpkin mixture into the flour mixture and add raisins. Stir gently until mixture is just combined.
Pour into the baking cups (3/4 full) and sprinkle with cinnamon-sugar mixture over the top of each unbaked muffin.

Bake for 20-25 minutes. Once ready, put aside to allow the muffins to cool. Et voilá...ready to enjoy a super autumnal recipe!
